Obituary

Joseph F. Discepolo formerly of Mesa, AZ, where he spent many of his retirement years, Dedham and Revere, passed away at the Care One Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln on January 14, 2025. He was 97 years old. Born in Revere and graduating from Revere High School, he was the cherished son of the late Ralph and Elisa (Gradone) Discepolo.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe moved to Dedham, where he lived for many years and had a long career working as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. After his retirement, Joe moved to Mesa AZ, where he enjoyed the warm and dry weather.

Joseph was the dear brother of Alice Twohig of Mashpee, Florence Coady of West Yarmouth, Marjorie Long and her husband Arthur of Canton, William Discepolo and his wife Sandra of Norwood and the late Gerard Discepolo, Salvatore Discepolo, Mary Powers, Ralph Discepolo and Anthony Emerson. Joseph is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, MA. on Friday, January 24, from 10-11AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are invited.

Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery-Malden
