Obituary

Marian Frances (Damon) Ciani, 69, of Hanson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Marian was born on February 15, 1955 in Boston. She was the daughter to the late William and Anna (Guilfoyle) Damon. She was one of five children. She graduated from Quincy High School and went on to get her associates degree from Massasoit college.

Marian enjoyed traveling in her younger years, one of her favorite vacations she talked often about was a trip to Hawaii, Paris, and London with her sister Beth. She loved Disney, and went to Orlando several times with family. She loved to dine out, casino trips, playing bingo, getting her nails done with her girls, soap operas, shopping, and the Plymouth waterfront. Above all else, she adored spending time with her family who she loved dearly.

She is survived by her two beloved children, Kimberly Leonard and her husband Steven of Hanson, and David Ciani and his fiancé Niki of Rockland. Marian was known as Noni to her six grandchildren, Eddie, Anthony, Skylar, Aidan, Angelina, and Ava. Marian is also survived by her brother Francis “Buddy” McPartlan, sister Anne Horne, and sister Beth Arena. As well as many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased in death by her sister Mary “Sue” McPartlan.

Family and friends are invited to Marian’s visiting hours on Monday, January 20th from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. All are welcome to the funeral chapel on Tuesday, January 21st at 9:45 AM to join in procession for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman.
