Obituary

In Loving Memory of Uberta A. Camposano (11-3-1932 / 01-07-2025)

" The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your
steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Psalm 138:8"
" I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes
in me, though he die, yet shall he live" John 11:25

Uberta Camposano’s life was marked by a deep and unwavering love for God and her
family. From an early age, she was drawn to the beauty of music and the arts, studying
ballet and attending a music conservatory. She had a special place in her heart for the
works of Franz Schubert, and throughout her life, she played the accordion, piano, and sang
with joy. Gospel and classical music filled her days, uplifting her spirit as she remained
devoted to God.

Alongside her beloved husband, Teófilo Camposano, with whom she shared 55 years of
marriage, Uberta built a life of service and dedication. Together, they were entrepreneurs,
owning three retail stores, a felt hat factory, real estate, a coffee plantation, and other small
businesses. But it was in her role as a wife and mother that Uberta truly shined. Her
nursing training was more than just a career; it was a calling, a way to serve others and
live out her faith.

Her husband's missionary work in remote places and his church-planting efforts created
countless opportunities for Uberta to serve as well. She was a constant presence in women’s
and children’s ministries, church choirs, and community outreach, always with a heart full
of love and a mind devoted to prayer. Her daily Bible reading and prayers for her family
were a cornerstone of her life, remaining steadfast until her very last breath.
Uberta and Teófilo raised five children—Ruth, Abiu, Nelly, Edith, and Javier—instilling in
them the same values of love, faith, and service. As a mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, Uberta’s greatest joy was in being surrounded by her family. She loved
hosting family gatherings, traveling, babysitting, and creating lasting memories with her
loved ones. She leaves behind her five children and their spouses, 12 grandchildren, and 13
great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love and faith.
Uberta was a woman of wisdom, strength, and kindness. She had a love for learning,
enjoyed reading, and was skilled in languages and crafts like knitting, needlepoint, and
crocheting. The handmade gifts she gave will forever be treasured by her family.
But above all, Uberta will be remembered for her deep, abiding love for God and her
family. Her prayers, her guidance, and her love will be greatly missed, but we take comfort
in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord. Rest in peace, Mom, Mother,
Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

Your love and faith will continue to inspire us every day.
