Edward J. Milan, 80, of Derry, NH, passed away Tuesday January 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. He was born on December 20, 1944, in Somerville, MA, a son of the late Edward and Adeline (Rafanello) Milan and had been a resident of Derry for the past 18 years, formerly living in Windham, NH. Edward proudly served his country with the US Air Force during Vietnam. He worked as a rural carrier for the Windham Post Office. After his retirement, Edward went to work for Allen Mello Dodge in Nashua. He loved to hunt and fish. Edward was formerly a Selectman in Windham, President of the Police Association in Windham and was also at one time a member of the Zoning Board. Edward most recently was the Property Manager and a Board Member for Bunker Estates Condo Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Phyllis (DiGregorio) Milan of Derry; his son, Edward J. Milan, Jr. and wife Kristin of Annapolis, MD; his daughter, Elena J. Holland and husband James “Ted” Holland of Derry, grandson, Conner Holland and fiancé Katie Courtois; granddaughter, Hannah Holland; a brother, Charles Milan and wife Cheryl of Beverly, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
