Kenneth J. Yandle Jr.
..Demolition Local 1421, formerly of Tewksbury; 44
LOWELL - Kenneth Joseph “Yanka” Yandle Jr., age 44, a member of the Demolition Union
Local 1421, died Sunday evening, August 6, at his home, surrounded by his family, after a long
illness. He was the husband of Susan M. (Spencer) Yandle, with whom he would have celebrated
a 25th wedding anniversary on September 4th.
He was born in Everett, on October 12, 1961, a son of the late Kenneth J. and Jean M.
(Richardson) Yandle. He was raised in Tewksbury, where he had lived the greater part of his life.
As a resident of Tewksbury, he attended Tewksbury schools and was a communicant of St.
William’s Church.
He was employed as a Chief Field Superintendent by Deprezio and Garofano Co. in Chelsea, and
was a proud member of the Demolition Union Local 1421.
He was remembered by his family as being an outdoors man, who especially loved fishing and
hunting.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Jamie Marie Yandle and Kenneth Joseph Yandle
III both of Lowell; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph R. Yandle and his wife Suibhan of Rutland,
VT; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda L. Nickerson and her husband Dana of Tewksbury,
Jean Marie Conway and her husband Rick of Lowell; his mother-in-law, Mary (Scherban) Spencer
of Tewksbury; his lifelong friend, David Evans of NH; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, Aug. 10, in St. William’s Church,
followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
