Dorothy A. Doherty, 73, of Hampstead, NH, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, in Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. She was born in Somerville, MA on June 7, 1951, a daughter of the late George Hembrough and Dorothy (Ebbs) Hembrough. She had been a resident of Hampstead for the past 17 years, formerly living in Sandown, NH.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Douglas Doherty; two sons, Peter Doherty and his wife, Kellie, and Chris Doherty and his wife, Jennifer; one daughter, Andrea Leo and her husband, Angelo; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Patrick Hembrough, Keith Hembrough, and James Hembrough; four sisters, Teresa Tebeau, Mary Perry, Ann Marie Kelly, and Patricia Hembrough. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her son Gregory Doherty, her brothers, Kevin and William Hembrough; and her sister Kathleen Pizzurro.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes of Londonderry, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 11:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. The burial will be in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Leukemia Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
