Maureen A. Andrews, 73, of Derry, NH, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025, in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on December 3, 1951, in Winthrop, MA, a daughter of the late William and Geraldine (O'Neil) Mack. She had been a resident of Derry for the past 38 years, formerly living in Melrose, MA. Maureen worked for the Elliot Hospital for 30 years as a secretary. She was kind, caring and supportive. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steven Andrews; her son, Scott Andrews; her brothers, William Mack and sister-in-law Carole Mack, and Robert Mack and sister-in-law Susan Mack; her sister-in-law, Marion Murphy; her brother-in-law, Tim Murphy; and her nieces and nephews, Brian, Shannon, Patrick, Kelly, Allison, Maya, TJ and Catie. Maureen was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Andrews, and her cherished grandson, Tyler Andrews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 16th from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Catholic Prayer Service will begin at 4:00 pm. The burial will be in Great Hill Cemetery, Rt. 121A, Chester, NH in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
