Obituary

It is with an extremely heavy heart we announce the sudden passing of beloved Danielle D'Alto (52) of Cambridge, MA, on January 9th, 2025. Born on June 18th, 1972, Danielle was a loving mother, devoted sister, and cherished friend.

Throughout her life, Danielle was known for her strong work ethic, having worked in various jobs, but she was perhaps best known for her time as a hairdresser, particularly at Supercuts. Throughout her life, she gave countless family members and friends haircuts, always with a warm smile and quick wit. Her work was more than just a job— it was an expression of her generous spirit and care for others.

Above all, Danielle’s love for her daughter, Alicia Seeley, was the cornerstone of her life. Those who knew Danielle would immediately think of her fierce devotion to her daughter, a love that was truly unconditional.

Danielle’s infectious sense of humor and unforgettable laugh were just a few of the qualities that made her such a beloved person. She had an incredible ability to lift people up and make them feel seen and appreciated. Known for her kindness, Danielle was always willing to give, often going out of her way to help others. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought.

In her final months, Danielle spent her last Thanksgiving and Christmas working hands-on with charity organizations, offering her time and care to those in need— an example of the compassion that defined her. Even as she faced overwhelming challenges, Danielle never gave up. She approached each day with resilience and determination, refusing to be defined by her struggles. She wasn’t a quitter; she fought with everything she had, finding strength even in the toughest times, always for her daughter and the people she loved.

Danielle is survived by her daughter, Alicia Seeley; her two brothers, Brian Auferio and James Abel; and a community of family and lifelong friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Her warmth, humor, and generosity will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.

Danielle's celebration of life will be held at the Medford-Malden Elk's on March 30th, 2025 from 2 PM - 6 PM
