Mary Catherine Hapenney
March 20, 1953 – January 11, 2025
Mary C. Hapenney, 71, formerly of West Roxbury, Dedham, and Humarock, MA, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025.
Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine C. Hapenney and was predeceased by her baby sister Catherine M. She leaves behind her loving family: her brother Arthur Hapenney and his wife Donna of Norwood, MA; her sister Jeannie of Bow, NH; favorite brother-in-law Michael Bartlett; her sister Catherine A. of Humarock, MA; her niece Sarah Brandt and husband Timothy of Falmouth, MA; and nephew Donnie LaCava and family of Boxford, MA. Mary attended Ursuline Academy and Boston Business School.
Mary was her dad’s favorite child and shared his love for boating and fishing, as well as rescuing animals to join our household. She enjoyed plants and gardening, but nothing compared to Mary’s intense love for family, tradition, and sharing memories.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the St. Susanna parish community for embracing Mary. The care and support she received from Fr. Steve and the many parishioners who loved her were a source of immense comfort and joy.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Susanna Church, 262 Needham Street, Dedham, MA on Wednesday, January 15th, at 8. a.m., with the funeral Mass immediately following at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. The interment will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
