Anne M. (Harrington) Sullivan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Winchester Hospital. She was 88 years of age.
Anne was born in Somerville on December 12, 1936, a daughter of the late Jeremiah Harrington and Margaret (Murphy) Harrington. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1953. Anne worked for the New England Telephone Company for over 25 years, retiring as a supervisor. She also helped out at St. Francis De Sales School in the library and at Charlestown Catholic Parochial School with doing several odd jobs to help out the children. She enjoyed reading, knitting, baking, and taking trips to Ireland with her husband Patrick. She cherished her grandchildren above all else.
Anne is the beloved wife of the late Patrick B. Sullivan. She is the devoted mother of Michael Sullivan and his wife Erin and Brendan Sullivan and his wife Sara. She is the loving Nana to Rhodes, Luke, Ryan, Matthew, Ian, and Emma. She is the dear sister of the late John Harrington, Gerald Harrington, Dennis Harrington, Michael Harrington, James Harrington, Mary McLaughlin, Eileen Mirra, Margaret Neitz and Catherine Dickinson. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anne's visiting hours on Friday morning, January 17, 2025, from 9 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
