Paul Jay Lusardi, a brother, friend, uncle, nephew, wonderful musician and avid Celtics fan passed away on January 6, 2025 at his home in Derry, NH. Paul is survived by his brother, Steven Lusardi, and his sister, Jeanne Parnell. Paul was predeceased by his father, Anthony Lusardi, and his mother, Eleanor Lusardi (Potter).
Born in Boston, and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts, Paul was a wonderfully talented musician. He was a graduated of Matignon High School in Somerville, and graduated from the prestigious Berkley College School of Music. Paul spent his later years working a contractor, and then a finishing carpenter. Always good with his hands, Paul was a magician with the drum sticks. He was passionate about music and his music career led him around the world and to make many friends.
Paul was an avid member of the Beverly Cardinals Drum Corp. Known for his skills with drums (and his ability to play the piano), Paul was always willing to get involved due to his love of music. Paul’s music career led him to the Boston Fife and Drum Corps where he got to travel and play music. Paul was also a member of the Boston Crusaders, and he held fond and dear memories of his time in Beverly playing with his friends.
Paul was also an avid reader, and could often be found in a book in his hand. His longtime cat, Bud, who has since passed, lived with Paul for 23 years often curling up on his lap as Paul read. Paul loved the Celtics, and he was very excited to see them lift banner 18 to the rafters earlier this year.
Paul’s Celebration of Life will be scheduled at the VFW in Beverly in the near future. If you are interested in attending, please contact Jeanne Parnell at 603-289-6743. In lieu of flowers, the family would recommend donations to your local non-profit music group or the Beverly Cardinals drum corps.
