Dorothy “Dottie” Standrick, 78, of Quincy, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, at her home in Quincy, MA.
Born on December 14, 1946, in Boston, Dottie was the daughter of the late Stanley and Virginia Standrick and the twin sister of the late Stanley Standrick Jr. Dottie is survived by her sisters, Julie O’Brien and Barbara Standrick, and her beloved children, George LaPointe, Renee Tallent, Dorcee Tallent, Frederick Perry, Dottieanne Ryan, and the late Michele Tallent. She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Dottie was a retired homemaker who spent her spare time helping out at St. John’s Church in Quincy. However, her real passion was fostering cats and volunteering at Quincy’s animal shelter. Anyone who knew Dottie knew how much she loved her feline friends. Dottie will be missed by so many.
