Obituary

AnnMarie Buzarewicz, age 74, originally from Whitman, Massachusetts, died suddenly on January 5, 2025 at Sachem Health & Rehabilitation Center, East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She was born October 3, 1950 to Ann Buzarewicz and Charles Buzarewicz of Whitman, Massachusetts.

She graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from Brockton Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN at Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts, and as an RN at Goddard Memorial Hospital in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Later, she worked as a meat processor in Greely, Colorado. She became disabled in the 1990's while living in Quincy, Massachusetts.

She loved to listen and dance to rock and roll music and enjoyed going to concerts with friends and relatives. She loved to do crafts and to play Bingo. She enjoyed playing cards and many kinds of board games such as Scrabble and Boggle.

She attended the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman, Massachusetts, from childhood into her early 20's. Later, she attended St. Ann's Parish in Quincy, Massachusetts. She was very religious, loved to read the Bible and enjoyed Bible study in her home in Quincy, Massachusetts. While in the nursing home, she attended Mass every Sunday and belonged to many prayer groups online.

In the early 1990's, she met her beloved companion, James Brown, now of Amherst, Massachusetts and they lived together for over 20 years. Even after he had to move to Amherst, to be near his handicapped grandson they remained loving friends, talking on the telephone and exchanging cards and letters to her last day. He brought such happiness and joy to her life and she to his.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Marty Orlando, husband of her late sister, Carole Orlando and her niece Rose Fosdick. She was also the aunt of the late Theresa Orlando. Her surviving cousins are Jerry Vinal and Katy Vinal, and Jan Hamilton, the widow of her late cousin, Ronald Vinal. She is also survived by her best friend, Donna Lee (Jenkins) Quilty, of Whitman, Massachusetts, her lifelong friend, Charlotte (Renvylle) Howe, now of Valrico, Florida, and her dear friend, Reikka Samula Gooden of Athol, Massachusetts.
