Obituary

In Loving Memory of Levester Lee Gant, Sr.

December 28, 1980 – January 6, 20225

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Levester Lee Gant, Sr. a quiet and steadfast soul whose unwavering convictions and deep love for his family left a mark on all who truly knew him.

Levester was a man of few words but profound principles. He lived a life guided by integrity and humility. His calm demeanor was the strength of his character, and his quiet wisdom was a source of inspiration to the people in his lives that he valued. He cared deeply about his community, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, and wanted to see positive changes for the future.

Above all, Levester was a devoted father to his three children with Sarah Bliven. His greatest joy came from spending time with them. Whether offering quiet encouragement or teaching life lessons through his actions, he showed his love in ways that words could never fully capture.

He will be remembered for his gentle presence and quiet strength that brought comfort to his family and friends. Though he sought no recognition for his deeds, those who really knew him were forever changed by him.

Levester was predeceased by his father Levester Gant and brother Jammal Gant. He is survived by his mother Terry Gant, siblings Crystal Gant, Lasheena Gant, Kamari Gant, Tonia Gant, and Gerron Gant and three beautiful children Levester, Jr., Ella, and Naomi, and a host of other family who will carry his love and legacy in their hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at the Mashantucket Pequot Spiritual Center. Calling hours will start at 10am, followed by the funeral service to begin at 11am. The burial will take place at the Mashantucket Pequot Burial Ground in Mashantucket, CT.
