Obituary

Kendrick S.” Bud” Rudolph Jr., 74, of East Bridgewater passed away after battling a long-term illness on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the South Shore Hospital.

Bud was raised in East Bridgewater, the son to the late Dorothy (Damon) and Kendrick S. Rudolph Sr. He graduated from East Bridgewater High School.

After high school Bud went on to join the National Guard and later worked as the assistant director of vocation at the Massachusetts department of corrections. Bud was a valued employee and worked there for over 30 years.

In his free time Bud enjoyed hunting, playing pool, bowling, and Keno. One of his favorite places to dine out was Ted’s Place in Whitman, he was a familiar face to many there. Ted’s Place was his last employment and he was like family to them.

Above all else Bud loved the time spend with his family. He is survived by his two beloved daughters Carrie-Ann Rudolph of Mansfield, and Amanda Ricci and her husband Mark from Bridgewater. He is also survived by his three grandchildren who he loved dearly, Mason Ricci, Sawyer Ricci, and Bentley Eayrs. And his brother Thomas Rudolph of East Bridgewater.

Family and friends are invited to attend Bud’s visiting hours on Monday January 13th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana Farber Center at the South Shore Hospital, Weymouth.
