BELMONT ---- Peter Donald Hart, a 76-year-old Army Veteran, passed away peacefully at his home on Orchard Hill, on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Peter was born on April 13, 1948, in Laconia, to Lawrence and Gerda (Euler) Hart.
Peter grew up in Meredith, where he forged lasting friendships and built a deep connection to the Lakes Region. He was a talented artist with a passion for jewelry-making, macrame and painting. However, what truly defined him was his devotion to his family. Above all else, Peter was a family man. His love and support for his children and grandchildren were boundless, and he always made time to share in their joys and milestones.
Those who knew Peter will remember him most for his infectious sense of humor. Whether telling a story, sharing a joke, or just engaging in lively conversation, he had a gift for making everyone around him laugh. His playful spirit and quick wit made him the life of any gathering, and he had a way of making even the simplest moments feel special.
An accomplished skier, Peter loved spending time on the slopes and enjoyed the thrill of a good challenge. He was known for his zest for life and ability to find joy in every moment.
He is survived by his son Isaiah Hart and his wife Rebecca, of Meredith, NH; his daughter Carry Anna Kenerson and her husband Michael, of Gilmanton, NH; his sister Caron Hart of Warrenton, OR; and his beloved grandchildren: Dylan Hart, Samantha Hart, Hailey Hart and Dana Kenerson, as well as his great-grandson, Levi.
Per his request, there will be no services, as Peter preferred to keep things simple and sweet.
