James D. Sitar, age 37, of Lowell, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington.
He was the beloved fiancée of Nichole Ryan, of Lowell.
Born in Melrose on March 18, 1987, he was the son of Tilton-Northfield Fire District, NH Fire Chief, Michael W. Sitar, Jr., and his wife Dianne (St. Hilaire), of Laconia, NH and the late Melanie (Gober) Sitar.
James was raised in Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools.
During his childhood, Jimmy was an accomplished athlete and participated in many Tewksbury youth sports programs.
As an adult, he enjoyed listening to pop music, supporting fire service organizations, discussing international political topics especially on the subject of the Ukraine, and spending time with his family.
Prior to his illness, he worked in the landscape construction industry for Crescio Landscaping Company in Burlington.
In addition to his fiancée, father and his father’s wife, Dianne, survivors include his fiancee's children, Deyanna DeJesus, of FL and Jayden Ryan, of Derry, NH: one brother, Bedford, NH Firefighter, Michael W. Sitar, III and his wife Haley, of Raymond, NH: his paternal grandfather, Michael W. Sitar, Sr., of Tewksbury: nephews, John, Michael IV, Mason, Kyle and Ryder. He leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jimmy was the paternal grandson of the late Nancy (Carpenter) Sitar, and maternal grandson of the late James and Marian (Imlauf) Gober.
Calling hours are Tuesday, January 14th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org
