Lorene Jenkins Fallin, 87, of Alapaha, Georgia, died January 7, 2025, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Alapaha Baptist Church, in Alapaha, Georgia, with the Rev. Joey Whitley officiating and Kenny Whitley delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rowetown Baptist Church Cemetery, in Alapaha, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Fallin was born March 21, 1937, in Berrien County, Georgia, to the late Daniel & Sallie Pauline Bennett Jenkins. She worked for Nashville Textiles as a seamstress. She was later the manager of housekeeping for Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home and Irwin County Hospital. Ms. Fallin was one of a kind and an avid gardener to provide for her family. She was a selfless, loving, and a hardworking woman. She was a member of Alapaha Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children & their spouses: Zema & Joey Whitley of Ocilla, Steve & Peggy Brown of Alapaha, Kenneth Brown & Judy West of Nashville, Paul & Thelma Brown of Alapaha and Brenda & Jimmy Thomas of Nashville; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Kenny Brown; her husband, Gene Fallin; a granddaughter, Melissa Hanson; and a brother, Irvin Jenkins.
The family would like to thank the staff of Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home and Hospice Care Options for their loving care of Ms. Fallin.
