Obituary

CHICOPEE – Cozette R. Bonin, 69, of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on October 7, 1955, a beloved daughter of Wilfred and Rita (Provost) Bonin. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from the former Precious Blood Elementary School and Holyoke Catholic High School and lived in Holyoke for many years before moving to Chicopee around 1978, She was employed as a Manager for many years at the McDonald’s on Meadow Street in Chicopee. Most of all she loved her family and her friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear brother, Bernard W. Bonin who was Called Home on May 25, 2022. She leaves her two loving and devoted sons, Joshua L. Morin and his wife, Joyann, of Dalton, and Jamie S. Morin and his wife, Amy, of Stockton, CA; her five cherished grandchildren, Christopher Morin, Nathan Morin and his fiancée, Allie, Nicholas Morin, Natalie Morin and Hillarie Morin; her three dear siblings, Janine Bonin of Chicopee, Denise Davis and her partner, Robert Murray, of Springfield, and Richard Bonin and his wife, Kimberly, of Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. She also leaves her longtime friend, Rocky Snow of Westfield. Her services will be private at the convenience of her family. There are no visiting hours.
