SPRINGFIELD - Francine L. Bowes, 77, of East Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished.
She was born in Springfield on July 18, 1947, a beloved daughter of the late Lester W. and Louise M. (English) Robinson, graduated from Cathedral High School and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was employed for many years in the Accounting Department for the United States Postal Service on Main Street in Springfield. During her leisure time, Francine enjoyed the simple things in life, watching television, talking with her friends on the telephone and her occasional shopping trips. Most of all she loved her family and her friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her dear brother, Gary Robinson. She leaves her loving and devoted children, Kevin P. Bowes of Springfield and Suzanne L. Bowes of Belchertown; her cherished grandson, Kodi D. Lanou and his wife, Gillian, of South Deerfield; and her two brothers, Philip A. Robinson of Newton, and his former wife, Nora of Springfield, and Carl A. Robinson and his wife, Deborah, of Florida; and her many nephews and nieces. She was also predeceased by her former husband, Peter W. Bowes. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family. There are no visiting hours.
