Harold Galberg of Dedham, MA passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, age 90. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla Galberg for 65 years and a devoted father to Carla Sarcione and her husband Guido of Cranston, RI, Robert Galberg and his wife Kay of Medford, NJ and Stephen Galberg and his wife Beth of Maineville, OH. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Carl Sarcione and his wife Lucy, Paige Montgomery and her husband Elijah, Mia Sarcione, Jenna Galberg, Claire Galberg, Ruthie Galberg and Caroline Galberg.
Hal was an electrical engineering graduate of MIT in 1956 and Northeastern University in 1963. He had a long career as an electrical engineer with Raytheon of Bedford, MA and had the wonderful opportunity of working for Raytheon in Paris, France from 1976 to 1981 where he lived with his wife and children. He and Priscilla also lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1982 to 1986 also working for Raytheon. They began their married life in Quincy, MA, then lived in Westwood, MA and most recently in Dedham MA.
Hal's interests included camping with his family when he was younger, golfing, playing bridge with friends, being a member of the Baystate Antique Automobile Club and enjoying winters in Venice, Florida.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Norwood, MA of which he and Priscilla have been faithful members for over 55 years, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18.
