Joanne T. Peterson, 63, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 in the Boston Medical Center, Boston, MA. Mrs. Peterson was born in Binghamton, NY on May 8, 1943, a daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Callan) Briggs. She had resided in Londonderry since 1979, formerly living in Andover, Methuen and Lawrence, MA. She was employed by the Town of Londonderry for 15 years, where she served as the Town Clerk. Mrs. Peterson was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Londonderry, where she was a past president. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Peterson of Londonderry; her son Michael Peterson of Londonderry; her three daughters; LeeAnne Paulson of Londonderry, Maria Gagnon of Nashua, NH, and Nicole Peterson of Manchester, NH; four grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Briggs of Binghamton, NY, two brothers; Eugene Briggs of Windsor, NY and Edward Briggs of Chenango Forks, NY; her sister, Marie Bundy of Binghamton, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held Friday August 11, 2006 from 4 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
