Stephen A. Johnson, Jr., 53, a longtime Lowell resident, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, December 26.
He was born on January 11, 1971 in Brighton, a son of Stephen Johnson of Lowell and Margaret (Mclaughlin) Bartlett of Florida. Raised and educated in Lowell, he graduated from the Greater Lowell Technical High School.
He was a welder by trade, both metals and most recently plastic at Plastic Design. He worked in Auto Body for many years with Ken's Auto Body.
He enjoyed motorcycles, the beach and taking trips, especially on a motorcycle; and boating with Ken and Beth.
Besides his father, Stephen Johnson and his wife Catherine (Bergeron) Johnson of Lowell, and his mother Margaret (Mclaughlin) Bartlett, he is survived by his son, Stephen Johnson and his wife Jessie of Dracut, and his grandchildren, Kenny and Skyler. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Johnson of Lowell, Melanie Foyle and her husband, Declan, of Lowell and Jessica Johnson and her partner, Diego Baretto of Lowell. He is also survived by his former companion Jodi Jelly and her children Kailey Creamer and Dylan Creamer, Stephen enjoyed many years with her and her children before he became ill, in addition, he leaves many nieces, nephews, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was also the brother of the late Angelique M. Johnson who passed away in May of 2024.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, all are welcome to attend his cemetery service at 11A.M. at the Lowell Cemetery Chapel, 77 Knapp Ave., Lowell.
