Felice Nigrelli, 97, passed away on December 27, 2024. He was the son of Rosario and Rosina (Ragonese) Nigrelli. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis in 2009 , and their daughter, Rosemarie in 1965.
He is survived by his daughter Christine Wolfenbarger and son David Nigrelli as well as grandchildren Jimmy Nigrelli, Britney Nigrelli, Cass Wolfenbarger, and great grandchild Jackson Wolfenbarger . He also had two stepsons John Komorowski (Beth) and Michael Komorowski(Caroline).
Felice was a lifelong resident of Mystic. He owned and maintained more than twenty properties in the Mystic area. He also drove a Groton School bus for fifty years and liked all the kids and they liked him and remembered his kindness. He was a lifelong member of the Groton Elks and cooked many spaghetti dinners for them. In his retirement, he thoroughly enjoyed wintering many years at their house in Florida.
Felice’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic from 4 to 6pm on Wednesday, January 8. On Thursday, January 9 at 10:00am a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 32 East Main Street, Mystic with burial to follow in the family mausoleum at St. Patrick Cemetery, Old Mystic.
Donations in memory of Felice can be made to the charity of St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
