It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vincente “Vince” Bella, 87, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, in December 2024.
Vince was a gregarious man; he was the life of every room he entered. Known for his warm smile and magnetic personality, he made an impression wherever he went. Whether on the golf course, behind the bar, or at home watching the Dodgers, Vince’s goodwill was felt and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A bartender for over 40 years, Vince knew the art of conversation and always made everyone around the bar feel seen and heard. He was a constant source of joy and camaraderie, always ready with a kind word or a good golf story.
Always impeccably dressed, he was known for his sharp dark blue suits, slim tie adorned with a golden clip, and unmistakable swagger—a reflection of his Filipino working-class roots and his belief that presentation could open doors to new opportunities. His love of classic crooners, including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Sami Davis Jr., only added to his aura of effortless cool.
In the autumn of his life, Vince spent his days nurturing plants and fruit trees in the arid California soil that blossomed as beautifully as his friendships. He extended the same care to his beloved wife of 27 years, Beverly.
Vince leaves behind a legacy of friendship, laughter, and love. He was a man who made the day a little brighter for everyone he encountered, and his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. He is survived by his wife Beverly; his first wife Josie; his 3 children & their partners; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings & their spouses; and a multitude of dear friends.
Vince's indomitable spirit will continue to shine brightly.
