WEBSTER – Lorraine C. (Guillette) Drobot, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves four children, Ellen A. Cote and her husband Michael, and Francis J. Drobot, all of Webster, and Carolyn J. Burke and her husband Joseph, and Kristine L. Zenaro and her husband Michael, all of Sutton; eight grandchildren, Jeremy White and his companion Aula Alayoubi, Joshua Cote and his wife Jill, Jennifer White, Danielle Drobot, Jarrod Drobot, Caitlin Burke, Jessica Burke and Jordan Zenaro; four great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Michael, Isabella and Adam; a brother, Bernard Guillette and his wife Dorothy of Dayville, CT; a sister-in-law, Nancy Guillette of Thompson, CT; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Edward Guillette.
She was born on October 11, 1933 in Webster, the only daughter of Wilfred and Malvina (Forcier) Guillette and lived in the Webster-Dudley area most of her life. She completed the Saint Anne’s School Commercial Course. She later earned her high school diploma and then attended college where she obtained a business/secretarial certificate.
Early in her career, Lorraine worked as a clerk at the former Art’s Jewelers in Webster. After raising her family, she later held various retail management positions.
She enjoyed cooking, polka dancing and Friday night card games with her family. She also looked forward to and treasured her overnight visits to Foxwoods Casino. Her life centered around spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 14, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 that morning in the funeral home, prior to the Mass.
