Susan Carroll (Wood) Bucove

Susan Carroll (Wood) Bucove, 79, of Anderson passed away on January 1, 2025 at Edgewater Woods following an extended illness.
She was born on November 23, 1945 in Anderson to Frank and Sally (Berry) Wood. She graduated from Anderson High School. She earned both her Bachelor degree and her Master’s degree in Adult Education from Ball State University. She worked at various places including The Center for Mental Health.
She attended Trinity Episcopal Church. She was involved in the League of Women Voters, Madison County Historical Society, Master Gardeners and White River Players. She loved doing genealogy, journaling, sketching, and writing poetry. She loved her Scottie dogs and being a part of the Scottie Rescue.
She is survived by her mother, Sally Wood of Anderson; her two daughters, Christina (Joshua) Tan of Anderson and Elizabeth “Beth” Pitts of Lansing, MI; two sisters, Mary Ann Nowzarinezhad of Anderson and Margaret K. “Peggy” (Chris) Huhn of Battle Ground, IN; a stepdaughter, Rachel Hitchcock of Oregon; grandchildren, Sam (Roxanne) Pitts of Hot Springs, AR, Daniel (Carley) Whipple of Chesterfield, Lillianne Tan of Anderson, and Kayla (Jason) Reiman of Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Morgan Reiman; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Wood; husband, David A. Bucove who passed away January 2, 2002 and a stepson, Andre’ Bucove.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Father Robert Dekker officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-12:00 Noon on Friday at the funeral home.
