Patricia “Pat” L. Kelly, 80, of Fremont, NH, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday December 29, 2024, in Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. She was born on February 9, 1944, in Winchester, MA, and grew up in Woburn, MA, a daughter to the late Harold Stanton and Edna (Doherty) Stanton. She had been a resident of Fremont for the past 53 years.
Pat was an avid quilter, and enjoyed making crafts, and cooking holiday meals for her family. She enjoyed watching the New England Patriots through the fall and winter months and finally got to a game at Gillette during one of the worst rain storms New England had to offer.
She loved her dog Annie and her cat Diego as if they were her children.
She worked for many years as a Para-Professional at Ellis School, and upon retirement continued to work at Glen’s Auto Sales in Fremont with her son Benjamin.
Anyone who knew Pat also knew that she was a feisty spirited talker who would gladly debate any topic often times becoming animated during the discussion while at the same time having zero sense of the other persons personal space.
Pat is survived by her two sons, Jonathan Kelly and his spouse Barbara, and Benjamin Kelly; three grandchildren, Erin Harris and her spouse Cody, Nate Kelly and his significant other, Alli Clark, and Emma G.K. Adams and her spouse Nova; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Charlotte Harris; four brothers, Russel Stanton, Harold Stanton, Robert Stanton, Jodie Stanton; three sisters, Doris Pond, Jane Hogeland, Denise McSweeney; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Floyd M. Kelly; her brothers, Leo Riley and Michael Stanton; and her sister Margaret Stanton.
Following cremation, a memorial birthday party service will be celebrated at Pat’s house on February 9th, 2025.
A calling hour will be held between 1:00PM and 2:00PM followed by a service beginning at 2:00PM.
Following the service there will be an open house/Super Bowl party as Pat would have loved to have been able to enjoy that with everyone. Friends and family are invited to stay for food and drink and share memories throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NH SPCA.
