Auburn – Ruth A. (Johnson) Davis, 89, a lifelong resident of Auburn, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a brief illness.
Ruth was married for 50 years, to the late Robert D. Davis who passed away in 2007. She is survived by four daughters, Michelle Santora and her husband Gary, of Auburn, Cheryl A. Morang of Rochdale, Deborah A. Morang and her husband, Michael of Auburn and Sharon A. Eldridge and her husband, Mark of Auburn; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was born in Auburn, daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Laprade) Johnson and is also predeceased by a sister, Rita Darche and a son in law, Neal Morang. She graduated from Auburn High School and spent her life being devoted to her family.
Ruth was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Worcester and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and playing sudoku. She loved being outside in her flower and vegetable gardens, as well as spending time with her dog “Ginger”, but she was truly the happiest when she was with her family. She especially looked forward to her family vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee.
Private funeral services were held with burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Ruth may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Road East Brookfield, MA 01515.
