Dennis P. Lambert, 66, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, December 26th at UMass Memorial Hospital – University Campus surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Linda M. (Duff) Lambert; a son, Philip Lambert and his girlfriend, Jessie Dautrich; a daughter, Erin Lambert; a granddaughter, Abbie Lambert all of Oxford; a sister-in-law, Linda D. Lambert; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilford and Juliet (Dubois) Lambert; and two brothers, Wilford Lambert, Jr. and David Lambert.
Born in Worcester, Dennis dedicated 35 years of his life to the art of baking at Northeast Foods, formerly Automatic Rolls.
Beyond the flour and dough, Dennis found solace in the tranquility of nature, an avid angler who reveled in the peace of the water and the thrill of the catch. He cherished the simple pleasures: a captivating television program, the laughter shared with loved ones, and the thrill of a good game of cards. Family vacations were a sacred ritual, especially the annual pilgrimages to the serene beauty of Maine and the vibrant shores of Cape Cod. His greatest joy was found in the sparkling eyes of his granddaughter, Abbie, a love that illuminated every moment they shared.
Dennis leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and a love that will forever be cherished. He will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
