Obituary

Warren, Roseda Clark passed away on December 29, 2024. Born on August 13, 1931 in Springfield, Ma. Graduate of Goucher College, 1952 and Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, Boston, 1953. Married Lowell A. Warren, Jr. of Boston in 1956. They moved to Wellesley, MA in 1960 where Roseda served on the Boards of the Wellesley League of Women Voters, The Newton, Wellesley, Weston Multi-Service Center, and she was appointed to the Town of Wellesley Advisory Committee, completing her term as Vice-Chair. With a livelong love of music, she sang with choral groups for many years, including the Berkshire Choral Festival, the Wellesley Choral Society and choirs of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills and the Eliot Church of Natick. Her business career included a variety of editorial and administrative positions, concluding as a school secretary at the Schofield School in Wellesley.

After retirement, she was a docent and member of the Board of Directors of the Fairbanks House in Dedham, a volunteer tutor for English as a Second Language students at the Boston Public Library, and for many years conducted a conversation class for ESL learners at the Framingham Public Library. Known as “Ros” to her many friends, she enjoyed concerts, theatre and museum visits with friends as well as regular bridge games and participation in the activities of the Eliot Church. She loved her independence and many friends at Wellesley Green where she finished living her life the way she had planned to the end.

Predeceased by her husband, Lowell, 2010 and her son, Elliot, 2016, she leaves a son, Dwight Richard Warren and his wife, Sheila of Waltham, MA; daughter, Melissa Goddu Warren and her husband Joseph Bolles of Medford, MA; and grandsons Geoffrey Clark Warren and Mitchell Thomas Warren.

A memorial service will be held at the Eliot Church, 45 Eliot St. South Natick, on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Reception to follow. Interment private. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Roseda’s memory to Eliot Church, 45 Eliot St. Natick, MA 01760.
