Robie Jay Mead, age 61, passed away peacefully with family by his side, on December 26, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. He was born on December 4, 1963 in Holyoke, the fourth of six children to the late Clayton and Florence (Whitmore) Mead. Robie worked as a restaurant & bar manager in Southwest Florida before moving back home to New England as a security guard for MJ Norton Security Company for many years. He is survived by two brothers, Randy Mead and his wife Suzanne of Florida, Scott Mead and his wife Sue of South Hadley, MA ; two sisters Tammy Witkop and her husband Stanley of Monson, MA and Penny Mead of Florida; nieces Jillian Carrier and Julia Mead and Nephew Michael Mead along with multiple great nieces and great nephews. He also leaves the love of his life, Lisa Cheree' Cochrane-Young of Granby, MA. He is predeceased by his brother Ricky Mead. All services will be private at a later date.
