Edwin Mendoza Soto passed away on December 23, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center. Born on September 3, 1959, in Añasco, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Abraham Mendoza and Maria Luisa Soto.
Edwin worked in the maintenance department at Stop and Shop Supermarket for many years before his retirement. Above all, Edwin deeply loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. Those fortunate enough to meet him encountered a truly kind man who always prioritized the well-being of his family and friends.
He is survived by three brothers, Jeremias Mendoza, Nestor Mendoza, and Moises Mendoza; six sisters, Hilda Mendoza, Laura Mendoza, Minerva Mendoza, Damaris Mendoza, Carmen Mendoza, and Lisset Mendoza, along with many nieces and nephews. Among them, Melany Mendoza, who was like a daughter to him, and Jamari Cardona-Navarro, a close friend who was like a daughter, held a special place in his heart.
His wake will take place in Añasco, Puerto Rico, where he grew up, and he will be laid to rest in the local cemetery on January 3, 2025. Funeral arrangements in Puerto Rico are being handled by Los Angeles Memorial Funeral Home.
