Mr. James ‘Jim’ Leo Landry, age 71, a longtime resident of Andover, passed away on Saturday morning, December 28, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Brownfield, Maine, surrounded by his loving family. Jim suffered a traumatic brain injury after a fall on April 18, 2024.
Jim was born on January 31, 1953 in Valdosta, Georgia. A son of the late Ernest J. Landry and Aurora Landry. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard E. Landry.
Jim graduated from Andover High School and joined the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Andover and was appointed to the Andover Fire Department where he continued to serve his community for over 35 years. Jim enjoyed traveling all over with family and friends, especially to his favorite destination, Aruba. He also enjoyed visiting casinos, playing cards and loved to play golf at Point Sebago, where he and Patty lived. Jim was also a member and past Commander of the American Legion, Post 155, Naples, Maine.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Valentine) Landry, two sons; James L. Landry, Jr. and his significant other, Lisa Ardizzone and Brian J. Landry and his wife, Jaime Landry, his daughter; Valerie L. (Landry) Wells and her significant other, Michael Mascomber, grandchildren, he loved so much, Shawn M. Wells, Rachel L. Landry, Madison F. Landry, Taylor L. Landry and Jake H. Landry.
Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend.
