Dorothy “Dotty” Anne (Qualters) McCarthy aged 82 of Walpole, formerly of Roslindale passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born October 23, 1942, in Boston. Dottie was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary (Sweeney) Qualters. Beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” McCarthy of Walpole. Devoted mother of Marisa Clasby and her husband Dave of Dedham, Joseph McCarthy, Jr., of Boston, and Martin and his wife Vanessa (Lux) of ME. Dear sister of Mary Qualters Turner, Nancy Trainer both of Walpole, and the late Martin Qualters. Loving grandmother to Zach and Olivia Clasby, Colton, Liam, and Jaxon McCarthy. Aunt and Godmother to Marc Qualters of Norwood and Paul McCarthy of Randolph.
Dotty married Joseph McCarthy in Sacred Heart Church on August 30, 1964. They were each other’s lifelong companions and friends.
Dotty was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed life to the fullest. Her family was her life, and she was a true matriarch.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 31st in Sacred Heart Church (Upper Church), 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Private.
