Obituary

Youssef Nasrallah, 102 years old, of Halifax, MA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24th surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Akoura, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Kozhaya and Hanne (Adeeb) Nasrallah. Youssef was also the beloved husband of the late Boutrossieh (Kreidi) Nasrallah.

Upon his arrival to the United States and throughout the years, he worked with his brothers for the family business, Nessralla’s Farms, at multiple sites. Youssef had a great passion for joyful living. He loved his family and friends whose devotion meant the world to him; he loved the impromptu gatherings that took place in his home. His beloved Maronite faith and all of its traditions and beliefs were the foundation upon which he built his life. He was a faithful and dedicated parishioner of Saint Theresa Maronite Church.

Youssef exemplified the principles of the Serenity Prayer: “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference.”

He will always be dearly loved and truly missed by all who knew him.

Youssef is survived by his loving children, Hanne, Saide and Najwa of Halifax, MA, and Georgette Mattar of Jbeil, Lebanon; he also leaves his four wonderful grandchildren Jean, Nicole, Carole, and Nadine, and six beautiful great-grandchildren whom he greatly loved and adored.

He was the brother of the late Amanda Nessralla and her husband John, of Brockton, MA, the late Mounirah Nasrallah and her husband Mounir of Orlando, FL, the late Abdu Nessralla and his wife Josephine of Halifax, MA, the late Naja Nessralla, and his wife, Samira, of Marshfield, MA, and the late Nacklie Nessralla and his wife Marie, of East Bridgewater, MA. Youssef is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with an incense service at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral procession will gather at the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Service of the Divine Liturgy at Saint Theresa Maronite Church, 343 North Main St., Brockton, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
