GILFORD ---- Sally Ann Paradise, 90, of Old Lake Shore Road, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Sally was born on November 19, 1934, in Laconia, the daughter of Harold and Angelina (Landry) James.
Sally was co-owner of Paradise Drilling and Blasting for over 30 years.
She and her husband Lionel enjoyed many, many years of camping with trips to the mountains, ocean, fairs and Florida to visit family. She was a long-time member of the Belknap Sportsman’s Club. Sally loved being involved in any activity involving the Laconia High School Class of ’52, including many years of monthly luncheons. She was just shy of being a 50-year member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
Hobbies included the knitting of hats, socks and sweaters for loved ones. She and Lionel enjoyed winters putting together jigsaw puzzles. Sally was a wealth of knowledge and loved by many. Her lively spirit and wonderful sense of humor will be sorely missed by many, especially by her family.
Sally is survived by her son Donald Guarino, daughter Nikki Wheeler, four grandchildren, Justin Guarino, Megan Guarino Mellett, Danielle Valance Taylor and Jessica Vance Taft, and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Sally is predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Lionel Paradise who passed away on July 17, 2024, son John Paradise, daughter Sharon Vance, sons-in-law Fred Wheeler, Jr., and Danny Vance, and her brother Donald James.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial will take place in the spring at McCoy Cemetery in Gilford, NH.
