Donna Lee Dumont, 69, of Derry, NH died Tuesday December 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Lawrence, MA on November 15, 1955, a daughter of the late Laurence and Elizabeth (Charity) Melvin. She had resided in Derry for 33 years, formerly lived in Lawrence, MA. For four years after retirement, she resided in Rock Hill, SC.
She had been employed for Hadco in Derry, Nordson Medical, Kohl’s and Canobie Lake Park all in Salem, NH. She volunteered with the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen in Rock Hill, SC, and was a longtime Girl Scout leader. She was also a member of OWLS… Older Wiser Loving Seniors in South Carolina. Donna enjoyed crocheting, Sewing and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Clermont Dumont of Derry, two daughters, Nina Cassidy and her husband Michael, and Joyce Robertson and her husband Dean, two grandchildren, Marissa Cassidy and her partner Nicolas Makos, and Caitlin Cassidy and her fiancé Cullen Behling, and one great-grandson, Benjamin Makos.
Following cremation, calling hours will be on Sunday December 29, 2024 from 1 – 3pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Catholic prayers will be offered at 2:45pm. Private inurnment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Manchester at a later date.
