Joyce M. Pierce, 79

Joyce M. (Walp) Pierce, age 79, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Oasis At Dodge Park in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of Myron “Dan” Pierce, III, to whom she was wed on May 14, 1966.
Born in Worcester, MA on August 19, 1945, she was a loving daughter of the late Marilyn F. (Choate) Flynn. Joyce grew up in Worcester and was a graduate of Worcester High School.
A resident of the Norton since 1969, Joyce retired from the Foxboro Co., a career that spanned thirty years. At the time of her retirement the company operated under the name of Invensys and where she worked her way up to the position of an Accounts Receivable Manager. Today, the company operates under the name of Schneider Electric.
Joyce’s family was the essence of her life and along with her husband, she was a member of the Rusty Rails and Rotten Ties, a model railroading club. Her other hobbies included gardening, crafting and Shopping. Mrs. Pierce will always be remembered for the wonderful times and lifelong memories created in beautiful New Hampshire.
In addition to her husband of fifty-eight years, she is survived by her devoted children, Keith A. Pierce of Taunton, Karen B. Galpin of Norton and Christopher D. Pierce of Norton. She was the cherished grandmother of Alyssa, Amanda, Joshua, Seth and Katie and the treasured great grandmother of Nathaniel and Nicolau. She was the dear sister of Dennis Flynn and his family of Oxford, Kevin Flynn and his family of Charlton and Patty Wilson and her family of Charlton.
Relatives and friend are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 29th from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp Street (Off Route140, Taunton Avenue) Norton. Burial will be private.
