Obituary

Joseph A. Corsi, Jr., 66, died Monday, December 23, 2024, with his family by his side at Elmhurst Rehab & Healthcare in Providence. He was the husband of Donna M. (Martucci) Corsi.

Joe was the son of the late Joseph A. Corsi, Sr. and the late Lucille (Tondreau) Corsi. Joe had lived in Smithfield for most of his life.

Joe, by no choice of his own, was an avid NY Giants and Yankees fan. To his credit, he cheered them on, so he was able to attend the many NASCAR races, which was his true joy.

His occupation was welder, but he was a true “jack of all trades” when it came to working with his hands. Pick a job and Joe would do it, as his garage was his second home.

His first love however was his family. A man of few words but deep emotions he let us all know we were loved! Emma and Carmella are the luckiest to call him Papa. The rest of us are better for having him in our lives and the world is missing out, as we’ve lost one of the great ones

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Christopher Corsi of North Providence, Joseph A. Corsi, III and Rebecca Gomes of East Providence, Christine Guglielmetti and her husband, Steven of Johnston, his two granddaughters: Emma and Carmella, his sisters: Denise Gilchrist and her husband, Mark, Diane Allen and Michelle Corsi.

His funeral Service will be held Monday, December 30th at noon in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville. Visitation will be Monday 10-12. Please omit flowers.
