Jeffrey W. Albanese, (BFD), of Halifax, died on December 21, 2024 at Beth Israel hospital after he suffered a cardiac arrest on December 9th while responding to an incident. After fighting very hard with his family and friends by his side, he succumbed to his injuries on the 21st.
Jeff was the loving husband for 20 years to Michele L. (Mackedon) Albanese. He was the son of Karen (Doyle) Potter of Maine and the son of William Albanese and his wife Kathleen of Carver.
Raised in Brockton, he was a graduate of Brockton High School and received his Associate’s Degree from Massasoit Community College. At the time of his passing, Jeff had been a Brockton Firefighter for 24years. He was a member of the Firefighters Local 144 and was a member of the Honor Guard.
His larger-than-life personality brought so much joy and fun to everyone’s life. You will never meet a funnier, more carefree, kinder, man. He was the 1st one there-to-help type of person. He loved his family and dog Violet so much. He loved to go camping with his family, fishing, hanging with friends, having a fire, playing some music and cornhole and hanging out at his beloved Tiki bar that he built himself.
In addition to his wife Michele, he is survived by his children Jayson and Jillian Albanese of Halifax. He is also survived by his sister Carrie Lavigne and husband Fred of East Bridgewater, and his brothers Michael Smith and wife Stacie of Pembroke, Patrick Smith and his companion Stacey of Brockton and Matthew Albanese and his wife Katelyn of Canton. Jeff was an amazing uncle and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, on Thursday, December 26, from 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday. at 11:45am for a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 1pm. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
