Jean M. Grosso, age 64, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly at Brockton Hospital on December 17, 2024. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Esterino A. Grosso and Catherine T. (Brady) Grosso.
Jean graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Bridgewater State College. She had a deep passion for teaching and dedicated over 30 years to her profession, working at Charms Collaborative before retiring from Creative World Children’s Learning Center.
Family was everything to Jean. She devoted herself to caring for her parents and was known for her thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and kindness. She enjoyed reading, spending time with animals, and visiting the beach.
Jean is survived by her niece, Erin Andrews of Brockton, and her nephew, Ian Andrews, and his wife, Leah, of Hull. She was the sister of the late Mary-Anne Andrews and sister-in-law of David Andrews. Additionally, she is survived by her cousins, Richard Davock, Mark Davock (Dawna Hanson), and Dan Davock as well as her dear friend and caretaker, Kathleen Kamb.
Visiting hours will be held at Conley Funeral Home, located at 138 Belmont Street (Route 123) in Brockton, on January 7, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on January 8 at 9:30 a.m. for a funeral mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to a pet shelter of your choice.
