Lorraine A. O'Donnell (Bousquet), age 90, a cherished resident of Mountain Top, PA, and formerly of Whitman, MA until 2012, left us on December 2, 2024, at the Embassy of East Mountain in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the devoted wife of the late James F. O'Donnell, sharing a deep and loving bond for sixty-six years until his passing in 2023.
Born in Brockton, MA, Lorraine was the beloved daughter of the late William J. Bousquet and Margaret G. (DeNota) Nijarian. Lorraine spent many years employed as a homemaker and had a passion for serving others, particularly the elderly. Her warmth and passion for life shone through in everything she did—whether it was her joy in cooking and baking, her enthusiasm for shopping and dancing, or the comfort she found in knitting. The holidays held a special place in her heart, especially decorating for Christmas. She was also an avid cat lover and found delight in watching the Boston Red Sox.
Lorraine will be lovingly remembered as a mother who deeply valued family time and cherished her grandchildren above all. One of her greatest joys came with the birth of her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. She adored family vacations to the beach including Cape Cod and the Outer Banks.
She leaves behind her adored children: James O'Donnell of Lake Worth, FL; Kevin O'Donnell of Mount Airy, NC; Sandra Murray of Pembroke, MA; and Michael O'Donnell of Mountain Top, PA. Lorraine will also be missed by her nine grandchildren: Kathrine Farris, Kevin O'Donnell, Victoria Weymouth, Benjamin O'Donnell, Jorge Ortiz, Rebecca Ortiz, Julia O'Donnell, Michael O'Donnell, and Madison O'Donnell. Additionally, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren: Cam, Benjamin, Grace, Cary, Corbin, McCoy, Kaiden, and Tucker, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Virginia Susi, Marie Bozoian, Edna Rando, George Bousquet, Frank Bousquet, and Donald Bousquet.
In honoring Lorraine's memory, her family warmly invites friends and relatives to join them for a visitation on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Conley Funeral Home, located at 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) in Brockton. The funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM, with interment at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. Your presence will be welcomed during this difficult time, as they celebrate Lorraine's remarkable life and the lasting love which she shared with all with all who knew her.
