Robert Elliott, 87, of Hillsdale, PA died on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of William Eugene and Ann (Woodley) Elliott, he was born on February 2, 1937 in Hastings, PA.
On December 7, 1957 he married the former Beverly Peiffer and they have shared over sixty-seven years of marriage together.
Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator for various surface mining companies.
He retired at the age of fifty-nine and then decided to go back and work another five years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed spending time out in the fields and streams. In later years, one of his favorite pastimes was completing complicated jigsaw puzzles with up to 5000 pieces.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; his five children: Julie Johns of Easton, MD; Jamie Pennington of Parma, OH; Anthony Elliott and wife, Robyn of Indiana, PA; Todd Elliott and wife Donna of Lithopolis, OH; and Kevin Elliott of Hillsdale, PA; his five granddaughters; one grandson; four great grandsons; one great granddaughter and his sister, Dottie Morris of Coalport, PA.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his three sisters: Jean Tucker, Joan Kelly and Ruby Bruce and his half-brothers: Dutchie and Tom.
Per Bob’s request, all arrangements were private with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Interment took place at Rowley Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
