LACONIA --- It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles “Chuck” Stickney Jr. Chuck passed away, at the age of 67, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from a heart attack.
Chuck lived at Lake Village Apartments, in Lakeport, NH. He was born on January 30, 1957, in Fort Dix, NJ, the son of the late Charles Harold Stickney Sr., and Ingrid (Henfling) Stickney.
Chuck spent most of his career as a crafted machinist and HVAC specialist. He could build and fix anything. In the past, Chuck owned a home in Hill, NH, and spent many years as a resident in Concord, NH. He was last employed at Beaumac, in Bow, NH.
Chuck will be remembered as a friendly, social, and outgoing person who enjoyed helping others. He attended the Congregational Church of Laconia where he served meals at the Pumpkin Festival and Thanksgiving dinner. Chuck enjoyed playing pickleball recreationally at the community center in Laconia. He enjoyed being outdoors, kayaking, biking, and saltwater fishing. Chuck loved his family and spending time with his nephews and nieces. One of Chuck’s most endearing qualities was his great sense of humor. It was common to find Chuck laughing and telling stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chuck is survived by his three sisters, Sylvia Hysong, of Belmont, NH, Penny Lamarre and her husband Douglas, of Laconia, NH, and Judy Hall and her husband Allen, of Eugene, OR; and his long-time companion, Maddie Avery, of Laconia, NH.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Congregational Church of Laconia, United Church of Christ, 18 Veterans Square, Laconia, NH.
