Obituary

LIMINGTON- It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of James “Jim” Tripp on December 18th at the age of 59.

Jim was born on May 14, 1965 in Biddeford to Millard and Theresa Tripp. Jim was number six of seven children.

Jim was raised in Saco and attended Thornton Academy. His fondest memories from childhood included playing little league baseball and working on the family farm.

Jim met the love of his life (Robin) in 1986. They had two wonderful boys and finally married in 1991.

Jim’s family and friends meant the world to him. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids, (who called him Poppa/PopPop) baking cookies, driving around on the tractor or cuddling on the couch. Jim also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing with his brother, uncles, cousins, nephews and brother-in-law.

Jim volunteered as a coach for his boys ice hockey team. He continues his passion for the sport by rooting on his favorite Boston Bruins and caring for the Sacopee Valley Ice Rink. Jim was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends and strangers.

Jim held several jobs throughout his life; working at the tannery on Saco Island, lobsterman, machinist and cabinet maker. His current job was at Trico Millwork in Limington.

Jim leaves behind his greatest joys; his wife of 33 years, Robin (Scott), sons; Jeremy (wife Ashley), Thomas (wife Nakoal) and grandkids; Veda, James, Vander, Valen and Vasher. He also leaves behind siblings; Patti Jordan (husband Mike), Richard (wife Patrice), Sue, brother-in-law Raynald (wife Sandy), sister-in-law Deb (wife of Bill) and best friend Tom Harmon. Jim also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents, Millard and Theresa Tripp, sister Sandy Legendre and brothers Bill and John Tripp.

Jim was a kind and caring soul and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
