Michele Simeone Abrecht of Weston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 17, 2024, following a courageous 6 year battle with cancer. She was 58 years old.
Michele was born in Attleboro, MA. on April 29, 1966 to the late Salvatore “Chub” Simeone and the late Mary Carr Simeone. She grew up in Needham and was an outstanding athlete and brilliant student. Michele attended high school at The Noble and Greenough School in Dedham before matriculating to Princeton University to receive a degree in Behavioral Psychology and becoming an outstanding women’s varsity ice hockey player. Upon graduating, Michele earned her Masters in Business Administration from Babson College.
Michele went on to become a successful commercial lender at the Bank of Boston before choosing to stop working after the birth of her fourth child. Michele devoted herself to raised 5 beautiful children that are a reflection of her grace, intellect, and kindness. Michele was considered a special friend to all who knew her.
Michele is survived by her loving husband Cliff of 32 years and children Ford and wife Liz and their daughter Eloise, Lexi, Charlotte, Quinton and Gus. She is also the “little” sister of Fran Simeone, Ann Simeone-Pace and her late husband Alfred Pace, and Lisa and Bobby Ewanouski, and sister-in-law to Rosemarie Abrecht. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham, on Saturday December 21, 2024 at 9 A.M., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 5 to 7 P.M. Interment at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline.
