Joseph “Joe” Mazzagatti, of Medford, passed away on Monday December 16th. He was 88. Born and raised in Italy, he was the cherished son of the late Antonino and Rosaria (Insana) Mazzagatti.
Joe had a natural green thumb and was always in his garden. He always had an abundant amount of tomatoes, pears and figs to share. When Joe was not spending time in his garden, he enjoyed his daily trips to Suffolk Down’s and going fishing with Frank.
Joe was the devoted Step-Dad of Frank D’ Agnello, and his wife Maria. He was the dear brother of Caterina Sano, and the late Pietro Mazzagatti. Joe was the caring uncle of Rosario Sano, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, December 27th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday, December 26th from 4 to 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
