Robert L. Harmon, 76, of Punxsutawney, PA died Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Embassy of Hillsdale Park in Hillsdale, PA.
The son of Luther C. and Mildred A. (Brink) Harmon, he was born on April 27, 1948 in Punxsutawney, PA.
Bob served in the US Navy as a cook and continued his career in the culinary field working as a chef once he was discharged from the service.
He attended the Steffey United Methodist Church, where he married his wife, Dessie S. (Troutman) Yount Harmon on May 18, 2002.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Bob loved being in the outdoors. He enjoyed watching boxing and wrestling matches on the television. He was also fond of watching old western tv shows and movies. He especially liked movies starring John Wayne.
Bob would spend hours playing Solitaire while listening to country music. He also enjoyed attending blue grass music concerts.
In addition to his wife, Dessie of Punxsutawney, PA, he is survived by his two sons: Robert L. Harmon, Jr. of Dayton, PA and Michael P. Harmon and wife Alicia of Punxsutawney, PA; his two stepchildren: Koren Watson of NC and Fred Yount, Jr. of Punxsutawney, PA; his four grandchildren: Austyn Harmon; Deserae Jones; Olivia and Eden Harmon; step grandchildren: Keri Cimarolli, Kimberly Feighner, Kyle Rebuck, Kelsey Rebuck, Gage Strawcutter and Jared Strawcutter and many greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is his sister, Marge Frampton of Smicksburg, PA.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Patricia, his three brothers: Charles, George and Clark Harmon and one sister, Linda Testut.
