Richard D. Anderson, 85, of Londonderry NH, died Saturday December 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 27, 1939 in Quincy, MA. He was a 1958 graduate of North Quincy High School as well as a 1963 graduate of Boston University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Technology. He received his master’s degree from Central Michigan University in Management. Richard was a retired Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force serving 23 years. After retiring he was employed with General Dynamics and EG&G as a logistics analyst. He was a 20 year resident of Pelham, NH.
Richard was the son of the late Johannes and Lucille (Stanley) Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Martha (Dunlap) Anderson of Melrose, MA; two sons, James Anderson and wife Hali of Ijamsville, MD, and David Anderson of Londonderry; his daughter, Carol Fischer and husband Martin of Quincy, MA; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Fischer and husband Greg Montenegro, Jack Fischer, Stephen Anderson and wife Jessyca, Elizabeth Anderson, Colin Anderson, Dylan Anderson and Connor Anderson. He was predeceased by his sister, Christine Bridges.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
